The Children’s Leaders Trainers’ Training, organized by Western Mindanao Conference (WMC), concluded with resounding success at the WMC Church in Gango, Ozamis City. Held from September 1-2, 2023, the event revolved around the theme of “Children First”.
Over 140 leaders attended the training from the fields of the Western Mindanao Conference, to enhance their skills and knowledge in leading and training children. The training aimed to equip leaders, teachers, as well parents with the necessary tools to effectively minister to children, with a significant focus on creating a nurturing environment for the younger generation.

The event featured diverse training sessions, interactive demos, and insightful discussions led by experienced trainers and lecturers. Attendees were immersed in topics such as child psychology, effective teaching strategies, creative activities and engaging children in Sabbath School classes.
“As the prophecies are being fulfilled before our eyes, we can tell that we are now living through the end times- with conflicts, sufferings, and pains visit our children even at their very early age – not a challenging time but a threatening for our children”, MS Victoria Besin, WMC, Children Ministries Director, reminded the leaders on the opening night. She even more emphasized the themed “we need to put our children first” during her welcome remarks.

The WMC – Wide Children’s leaders trainers’ training allows for the procurement of new actual and easy to-achieve ways to help better nurture children in Sabbath School classes. SPUC, Children’s Ministries Director, MS Jill Palomares along with other Children Ministries Directors, MS Glenn Lagunday of CMM and MS Miraflor Vacalares of NCMC share lectures and even demonstrate ways and techniques on how to captivate young children’s attention and gain their active participation during sabbath school classes. “Children’s leaders, teachers and parents need to know how to organize programs, teach children and nurture them especially at early age”, Mrs. Palomares added.
The participants expressed their deep gratitude for the knowledge they gained. Jenie Flor D. Namocatcat, newly elected President of WMC Children’s Ministries Department said “I’ve learned a lot from this training especially to introduce Jesus to our children at early age”. The participants left the event feeling empowered and motivated to invest in the spiritual growth and development of children in their respective churches.

As the event concluded with a commitment service graced by Pastor Cristito M. Vacalares, NCMC, President. The participants return to their respective churches, ready to implement the knowledge and skills acquired during the Wide Children’s Leaders Trainers’ Training.
