Experience a Day of Fun, Friendship and Faith at the WMC MAS-AMiCUS Event in Western Mindanao!
The Western Mindanao Conference MAS-AMiCUS is delighted to invite everyone to their first-ever Sports Festival and Evangelistic event, set to take place from December 19-24, 2023 at Western Mindanao Adventist Academy in Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.
The event, with the theme MAS, SHINE! (Move, Activate, Socialize, Stand in Harmony, and Involve in Evangelism), aims to inspire and empower individuals to embrace their faith and actively participate in spreading the message of the Gospel.
“As the President of the Western Mindanao Conference MAS AMiCUS, I am deeply honored and privileged to have been entrusted by our Lord Jesus Christ with the responsibility of organizing and implementing the inaugural Sports Festival and Evangelistic event throughout Western Mindanao,” said Janica Salapan.
Alongside the dedicated officers of WMC MAS AMiCUS, they eagerly anticipates the upcoming occasion.The event extends a heartfelt invitation to all college and senior high school students studying in non-Seventh-day Adventist institutions. It aims to celebrate faith, camaraderie, and personal development while bringing together participants in sports and evangelism to shine brightly.
The districts within WMC, namely Sardonyx, Topaz, Chrysolite, Beryl, Sardius, and Amethyst, are currently in the process of preparing for this momentous occasion. They are conducting tryouts for various sports and fostering fellowship within their respective districts, in order to strengthen the bond among all members of the organization.
They are committed to ensuring that this event serves as a platform for unity, growth, and spiritual enlightenment. By combining the spirit of sportsmanship with the power of evangelism, hope to create a memorable and transformative experience for all participants.
The event will feature esteemed guest speakers who are leaders in their respective fields, including Pastor Dan Namanya, Professor at MVC, Pastor Jemsly Lantaya, SPUC Youth Director, Pastor Junifer Colegado, WMC Sabbath School Director, Pastor Marc Delwin Ferrer, WMC Youth Director, and more. Their words of wisdom and encouragement are expected to inspire and motivate participants.
The organizers are grateful to have such a diverse and talented lineup of guest speakers, confident that they will contribute to the participants’ illumination for the glory of God.
Pastor Marc Delwin Ferrer, WMC Youth Director, expressed his excitement for this first-ever Mas Amicus Activity Event. He emphasized that it will be a unique experience for MAS AMiCUS members and alumni, as well as for the many first-time attendees. The activity aims to help participants understand their purpose and shine as Seventh-day Adventists in their respective schools.
The event is scheduled to happen from December 19-24, 2023. It promises to be an incredible opportunity for inspiration, empowerment, and upliftment. Participants are encouraged to save the dates and join in this transformative experience.
